An ever-expanding menu of ready-to-eat food products and growing consumer awareness for quality food makes Food Safety a top priority for all food manufacturers. Consistent with our commitment to working closely with our customers to develop products that meet their unique requirements, WTI has expanded its food safety research to develop new applications.

Performance Validation
Our research capabilities and techniques in the Food Safety Laboratory enable us to simulate actual food processing environment in the lab. We test a combination of WTI ingredients with technologies to create a hurdle effect, determine synergies and develop more effective and comprehensive food product solutions that result in safer products for the consumers.

Pathogen Testing
WTI products are highly effective in controlling the outgrowth Listeria monocytogenes in ready-to-eat foods. While we recognize the importance of controlling Listeria as a food safety issue, we are continuously performing research to develop new product formulations to address a wide range of other food-borne pathogens such as:

  3. Clostridium perfringens
  4. Staphylococcus aureus
  5. Bacillus cereus

Expansion to other Food Groups
With a strong foundation of serving the meat and poultry industry, WTI has expanded its capabilities by performing innovative research to develop new applications of its functional food ingredients to enhance shelf-life and provide pathogen control in other food groups such as vegetables, seafood, dairy, and wide range of products including pet foods, salads, dips, mixes, and more.
